Grading Scale
SWE's grading scale was recommended to the School Board on April 11, 2007 by a committee of parents and staff members with a decision made by consensus. It is as follows:

Lunch 
Student school lunch cost $2.00 per student. Monthly lunch menus are sent home with your child. You are welcome to come eat lunch with your child for $2.75. Make sure you sign in at the office and wear a visitor badge.
Attendance Policy
Excused absences include personal illness, serious illness of a family member or death in the family. Emergency medical & dental visits are included.
Prearranged absence forms are available in the office. Absences must be reported by 9:30am to the office. For more detailed information, please refer to the student handbook.
Winter & School Closings
School closings due to inclement weather are governed by a policy which includes the following:
1. The superintendent is the only person authorized to close school.
2. Schools shall be expected to open on regular schedules if no public announcement is made to the contrary by 6:30am. Do not contact the superintendent’s office. The superintendent’s office will be checking the local police and other agencies to determine road conditions and weather forecasts.
